Virtual Skills for Employment Preparation (VSTEP)

Provides at-risk young adults with a combination of one-on-one, in-person and virtual essential skills and occupational skills training. It provides financial supports where needed, a stipend for achieving goals and offers group workshops for additional supports.

Youth Breakthrough to Employment and Training Program (YBEAT)

Supports young adults with mental health challenges to break through to training and employment. the program provides support, training and mentorship tailored to meet individual participant needs.

Provides young adults transitioning out of care with essential skills, occupational skills and soft skills training, including supported work experience placements.

Food Skills BC

Supports at-risk young adults with skills training to become employed in the agri-food/processing sector. Example positions include warehousing, restaurant and food servers, food/beverage/cannabis retail, kitchen helpers, bakers, and processing production line workers.

Trade Builders for Young Adults at Risk

Supports at-risk young adults interested in building trades or other in-demand trades occupations. The program includes short-term safety skills training, occupational skills training, self-employment training and wrap-around supports.
