May is Speech and Hearing Month

Did you know one in six people in Canada has a speech, language, or hearing disorder?

May is Speech and Hearing Month and we want to raise awareness about WorkBC Employment Services communication supports. Job seekers requiring assistive equipment and devices to find or keep a job can connect with their local WorkBC Centre or WorkBC Assistive Technology Services

Job seekers can get help with:

  • Speech recognition software
  • Assistive listening and communication systems
  • Communication and hearing devices for work
  • Assistive devices, equipment, and technology
  • American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting and captioning services
