The Gateway program focuses on people in rural and remote communities. It provides short-term occupational certification training, Indigenous cultural components and work experience (with possible wage subsidies) in the participant’s community.

Open Door Group Jobs in Demand

The program includes short-term certificate and on-the-job training with job placements targeted to the warehousing, social services, hospitality and tourism industries. There are opportunities for volunteering and for paid work experience (with possible wage subsidy). Legal advice, addiction services, Indigenous cultural components and disability supports are also available.

Acquiring Community-based Employment Skills (ACES) Training 

The Acquiring Community-Based Employment Skills (ACES) program provides assessment, skills training, certificate training and supported work experience for employment in a variety of occupations. Participants also receive ongoing support and advocacy for success in long-term employment.
