Success Stories
Success stories:
- Raise awareness about the Community Workforce Response Grant
- Inspire others to enroll in future training programs
- Highlight the success of your project
- Support your future funding applications
We recommend that agreement holders submit at least one success story (per funded project) from a participant.
We encourage you to ask your participants to submit success stories that describe their experience with your training project. Stories should be from the individual’s perspective. The focus must be on their background, goals, what led them to the training project and how the training contributed to their success in finding a job, becoming self-employed or pursuing further training.
You can share a participant’s success story with the Ministry through a testimonial, photo, video or a combination of all three. To assist participants in submitting their story, please forward the Participant Success Story Questions to each participant prior to the end of training. See examples of success stories.
To share a success story, please read the following instructions carefully.
- Regardless of the medium, the participant must complete and sign a Testimonial Consent and Release form. Testimonials can be signed digitally by downloading the Testimonial Consent and Release form and using Adobe Acrobat to fill in the required fields (for additional help, see Sign PDFs in Adobe Acrobat), or by downloading the form and signing a printed version.
- Send the success story/testimonial, photo or video with the signed Testimonial Consent and Release form to CWRG@gov.bc.ca.
- For group pictures, each person in the photo must complete the Testimonial Consent and Release form.
- If you wish to have a success story posted on your own website or other media, you must have the participant's consent as required under the privacy legislation that is applicable to you. To obtain the participant's consent, you may use your own consent form, or you may use the Testimonial Consent and Release form. If you choose to use the Ministry’s Testimonial Consent and Release form, the signed copy must be submitted to the province at CWRG@gov.bc.ca prior to posting the story on your website.
