Individuals Facing Multiple Barriers

The Individuals Facing Multiple Barriers program provides people with the relevant skills training and employment supports needed to overcome obstacles and achieve sustainable employment.
Programs are funded by the Government of B.C. through the Future Ready Action Plan, and the Government of Canada through the Canada-British Columbia Workforce Development Agreement.

Eligible Participants
This program is open to unemployed or precariously employed British Columbians who face two or more barriers to employment. Examples include housing instability, addiction recovery, mental health challenges, limited essential skills, limited English language skills, and lack of work experience, among others.
Some programs are tailored to meet the unique needs of specific populations, such as recent immigrants, individuals with current or prior criminal justice involvement, people who have experienced violence and/or trauma, older workers, and persons with disabilities.
