March 8 is International Women’s Day

Each year on March 8, people around the world celebrate International Women’s Day. It’s a day to recognize women’s social, economic, cultural and political achievements.
This year’s theme is #EmbraceEquity. Equity recognizes that each person has different circumstances, and allocates the resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome. It means creating an inclusive world. This differs from equality which means providing the same to all, regardless of their individual circumstances or needs.
Celebrating women’s achievements
See success stories about women from different backgrounds who have challenged their comfort zone, thought outside the box and found their stride in different occupations.
