November is Career Month in Canada

From coast to coast, Canadians are participating in career events throughout November. Improving access to career services, education and skills training is essential to obtaining a fulfilling career.

Here are four ways to amplify your career:

1. Develop your career. Did you know career services in Canada are underutilized and most Canadians think that they don’t need or qualify for career development services? Visit WorkBC’s career tools and training and education resources to find out more.
2. Determine your passions. Take up to six Career Discovery Quizzes to identify your skills and talents. You’ll develop a stronger sense of who you are and what you can offer.
3. Gain the right skills. Amplify the skills you need to enter, grow and succeed at work and in life. Discover skills for the future workforce.
4. Get involved. If you are a career development professional, career coach, career educator, teacher, mentor or employer take part by attending a local event, hosting your own or becoming a sponsor.
