September is Disability Employment Month

alt

The B.C. government is committed to making life better for people with disabilities. This includes funding WorkBC employment services and supports to assist people with disabilities to achieve their employment goals.

Between April 2021 and March 2022, nearly 4,600 people with disabilities were supported by WorkBC through their first year of employment, and more than $1.4 million was provided through Community and Employer Partnerships projects involving over 260 participants with disabilities.

During B.C.’s 9th annual Disability Employment Month this September, WorkBC Centres around the province are hosting events. Visit your local WorkBC Centre this month to learn more.
