Anna-Olena's new life in Canada
After escaping the war in Ukraine, Anna-Olena and her child arrived in Prince George with nothing. Despite having no home, plans, or job prospects, she was determined to build a new life for herself and her child.
Anna-Olena reached out to her local WorkBC Centre for help. Her employment counsellor took the time to understand her background, education, and skills. Through career assessments, they determined career opportunities at the airport that would be a great fit for her.
Having a clear goal gave Anna-Olena direction. With WorkBC support, she enhanced her skills and created a standout resume and landed a job as a Customer Service Supervisor at Central Mountain Air.
WorkBC continued to support her with new work clothes and gas cards for her first month. Anna-Olena’s determination, combined with WorkBC’s support, helped her start a new chapter in her life.
Her story is a testament to the incredible support WorkBC provides. If you’re facing challenges, remember WorkBC is here to help turn your dreams into reality.
