Single dad Kaleb lands a new job

Living in a remote area and being a single dad made it tough for Kaleb to find a good job. He reached out to his local WorkBC Centre for help, given his limited availability and the lack of opportunities in his rural community.

WorkBC provided him with job search tools, helped him create a strong resume, and connected him with personal counseling support.

Kaleb landed a part-time job as a chef at The Oak Wellness Centre and later a full-time position at Red Road Recovery. WorkBC supported him with essential clothing and fuel cards, making it easier to settle into his new career.

“Definitely helped to switch career paths, reassurance of resume, WorkBC helped me develop confidence. WorkBC made a big difference being able to access information I didn’t have previously” - says Kaleb.
